Inept drug supply management causing stock-outs

Abstract

Poor drug supply chain management by inappropriately skilled provincial officials – not the ‘red herring’ of manufacturer supply issues cited by national health minister Dr Aaron Motsoaledi – is primarily responsible for massive medicine stock-out problems in the public health system.
