Contested PMB amendments – ‘funders the chief beneficiaries’

Abstract


If promulgated as proposed, ‘short-sighted’ changes to the Medical Schemes Act, in particular sections of Regulation 8, will financially hurt both beneficiaries of medical schemes and many private practitioners – via inadequate funder payments for prescribed minimum benefits.
