The micturating umbilicus

Abstract


A 14-year-old girl presented with a 4-year history of a clear, intermittent discharge oozing from the umbilicus, which was confirmed to be urine on biochemical evaluation. A fistulogram demonstrated a tract communicating the umbilicus with the bladder, consistent with a urachal fistula, which was successfully resected surgically.
