Community service doctors ‘slaves to the State’ – court challenge
Abstract
A Constitutional Court (Con Court) challenge to South Africa’s health authorities by a community service doctor conscript, outraged by his ‘slavelike’ working conditions (including excessive overtime and arbitrary posting), has been turned down amid strong, and mixed, collegial emotion.
