Medical indemnity regulations: MPS maintains commitment to South Africa

Abstract

New regulations, addressing medical indemnity, were introduced by the Depatment of Health on 30 August 2010. MPS supports the spirit of the regulations; that all independent health care proffesionals should be indemnified and that the indemnifier should be monitored for financial security. The MPS maintains its commitment to SA and seeks to find a solution to its potential exclusion from this scheme.
