Maternal deaths from bleeding associated with caesarean delivery: A national emergency
Abstract
An article in the May issue of SAMJ by Fawcus et al. draws attention to the epidemic of avoidable maternal deaths from caesarean-related haemorrhage in South Africa. This editorial looks at how this epidemic can be addressed.
